King Charles III & Prince Andrew’s Feud Explained: Finances, Scandals
Royal author Robert Hardman revealed in his republished book Charles III. New King. New Court. The Inside Story that King Charles “instructed to sever his [Andrew’s] living allowance” of $1.3million.
An insider, as noted in the book, said: “He claims to have found other sources of income related to his contacts in international trade, sufficient to cover all his costs – which would be a welcome outcome for all parties if that turns out to be the case.
“But as to whether this funding can be relied upon in the long term is another matter.”
However, another source later dished that Andrew secured the funds he needs to stay at the Royal Lodge — for now.
An insider shared: “If he can find the money, then that is up to him, but if not, he will find that the King does not have unlimited patience.”
The monarch is reportedly exploring “two avenues” in which he can resolve the issue.
Another option would be for Andrew to move out of the Royal Lodge and into a smaller property, most likely Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s former home, Frogmore Cottage.
