Ye Posts Outrageous KKK Fit, Announces Sunday Service Return

Let’s make one thing clear: Klu Klux Klan outfits are bad. Period. Somebody tell Ye that, then take his phone away and burn it.

More on that later. Ye just announced the revival of his Sunday Service, the gospel choir event he launched in Jan. 2019 alongside his Christianity-themed album Jesus Is King. The Sunday Service Choir, known for performing gospel songs and covers from Ye’s discography, is set to return on March 16, 2025.

“Sunday Service Returns March 16 2025,” West wrote in an Instagram post, sharing a screenshot of a text message exchange with Sunday Service choir director Jason White. The announcement initially brought a sense of anticipation for fans of the musical gatherings, which have been seen as a departure from the controversies surrounding the rapper in recent years.

Back to the klan … smh.

Shortly after teasing the choir’s return, he shared a now-removed photo of a white robe typically associated with the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) on Instagram, captioned “Outfit of the day.” He also posted the same image on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption “FIT PIC.”

The posts drew immediate criticism from social media users, who expressed outrage and discomfort. “Someone hit ctrl + alt + delete and restart Kanye please,” commented one user, while another added, “Is someone gonna tell him he’s black?”

The KKK, a white supremacist, far-right hate group, has a long history of perpetrating violence against minorities, including Black people, Jews, Catholics, and immigrants. West’s decision to share imagery associated with the group has reignited concerns about his recent behavior and public statements.

This is not the first time West has courted controversy with provocative actions. Earlier this year, he faced backlash for selling a white t-shirt featuring a large swastika emblem on his website. The item, listed as “HH-01,” was speculated to reference the “Heil Hitler” chant, further fueling criticism of the rapper’s actions and messaging.

As the announcement of Sunday Service’s return is overshadowed by yet another controversy, reactions to West’s latest posts continue to spark debate online.
