The Festival kicked off with the Michael O’Sullivan Supreme Novices’s Hurdle, renamed in honour of the jockey who won the race two years ago but died following a fall last month, and Kopek Des Bordes delivered for Paul Townend and Willie Mullins. Majborough was a big favourite in the Arkle Chase but it was Jango Baie who stole victory, before Lossiemouth did deliver for punters in the Mares’ Hurdle.
