Inter Milan XI vs Man City: Predicted lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest for Champions League final
enrikh Mkhitaryan and Milan Skriniar are pushing to be fit in time for the Champions League Final.
Inter Milan have reached the final for the first time since 2010, when a side featuring Wesley Sneijder, Lucio and Samuel Eto’o beat Bayern Munich 2-0 in the final.
Now coached by Simone Inzaghi, they finished third in Serie A this season, won the Coppa Italia, and have knocked out Porto, Benfica and city rivals AC Milan.
Joaquin Correa has returmed to training, while Skriniar and former Arsenal and Manchester United midfielder Mkhitaryan could return to face Manchester City in the final in Istanbul.
Mkhitaryan is recovering from his thigh injury but is likely to be back in time for Saturday. Centre-back Skriniar has not played since March but was named on the bench against Torino at the weekend and could be ready to start in the final.
Correa’s situation appeared less promising, as he battles a calf injury he picked up in the Coppa Italia Final victory over Fiorentina on May 24, but he looks to be fit enough to make the squad.
Inter Milan possible XI (3-5-2): Onana; Skriniar, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Brozovic, Dimarco; Dzeko, Martinez
