Ireland and Australia face off on Saturday to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU).
It is a return to the Aviva Stadium for former Ireland head coach Joe Schmidt, who won three Six Nations titles during his six years with the Men in Green between 2013-19, as he takes his work-in-progress Wallabies side to Dublin in the final match of the 2024 Autumn Nations Series.
Andy Farrell, Schmidt’s former assistant, will be confident of extending Ireland’s victorious run over Australia to four games, despite seeing a 19-match home winning streak ended by New Zealand earlier this month before wins over Argentina and Fiji.
This will be Farrell’s final game in charge of Ireland before temporarily handing the coaching reins over to interim boss Simon Easterby as he instead prepares to lead the British and Irish Lions tour of Australia next summer.
The Wallabies have had an eventful autumn series so far after finishing bottom of the Rugby Championship with only one win to their name back in September, beating England and thrashing crisis-stricken Wales before being bested by Scotland at Murrayfield.

Ireland have opted for Sam Prendergast at fly-half, the 21-year-old keeping his place after starting over Jack Crowley last week against Fiji.
Cian Healy is in line to make a record-breaking 134th appearance for Ireland, having been named among the replacements, while there are three changes in the backs as Hugo Keenan, James Lowe and Jamison Gibson-Park all come back into the side.
Ronan Kelleher and James Ryan also start for Ireland, with Tadhg Beirne moving to the back row, but Jacob Stockdale (hamstring) and Jamie Osborne (abductor) miss out after suffering injuries last weekend.
For Australia, there are six changes to the side that were beaten at Murrayfield a week ago.
Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii has allayed fears of an arm injury to be passed fit to start, while Jeremy Williams has recovered from illness to pair up with Nick Frost in the second row.
Props James Slipper and Taniela Tupou are recalled, with Angus Bell and Allan Alaalatoa dropping to the bench, but Will Skelton and Carlo Tizzano miss out on the squad completely.
Max Jorgensen returns to the backline as Harry Potter, who made his debut against Scotland, is named on the bench.

Much continues to be expected from this Ireland team, who have lost just three times this season and most recently against New Zealand. They have bounced back against Argentina and Fiji, and should have enough to end the autumn series on a high.
Australia have impressed more than expected, by beating England and Wales before losing to Scotland last weekend. Head coach Schmidt clearly has the Wallabies moving in the right direction, but this may be too tough of a test.
