Jack Leach injury: England dealt huge Ashes blow with spinner to miss entire series

The ECB announced on Sunday that the Somerset spinner had been diagnosed with a stress fracture of the lower back after feeling pain during the final day of the 10-wicket warm-up win over Ireland at Lord’s and being sent for a scan.

Leach will play no part in the five-Test Ashes series that is due to start at Edgbaston on June 16, with England set to announce a replacement in due course.
