Arsenal secure Nwaneri future
Arsenal starlet Ethan Nwaneri has agreed to stay at the club, despite interest from Chelsea and Manchester City, writes Simon Collings.
Nwaneri became the youngest player in Premier League history when he came on as a late substitute during the Gunnersā 3-0 win over Brentford last September.
He was just 15 years and 181 days old at the time and is regarded as one of the countryās top prospects. The attacking midfielderās schoolboy registration was due to run out at midnight on Friday, but he has now agreed scholarship terms with Arsenal.
The Gunners are understood to have made an attractive offer to Nwaneri, who can sign professional terms when he turns 17, with academy manager Per Mertesacker, first-team boss Mikel Arteta and sporting director Edu all involved in talks.

Lukaku could STAY at Chelsea
Nicolas Jackson has all-but signed for Chelsea but the forward might have some big-name competition.
While Romelu Lukaku is eager to return to Inter Milan, it is far from certain he will return.
According to The Sun, the Blues will NOT sanction another loan and the Belgian could end up staying at Stamford Bridge.
Saudi Arabia clubs are keen to take him, but the feeling isnāt mutual.
Szoboszlai prefers Liverpool over Newcastle
Dominik Szoboszlai favours Liverpool over a move to Newcastle United.
Both clubs are in for the RB Leipzig winger, whose ā¬70m (Ā£60m) release clause expires today, and he is keen to leave.
However, as with James Maddison, even the lure of Champions League football isn’t enough to convince players to move to Newcastle.
Journalist Guido Schafer said: “[Szoboszlai] wants to leave.” He said, āI want to make the next stepā, and he loves the Premier League.
“If he can choose between Champions League with Newcastle and Europa League with Jurgen Klopp, he will choose Klopp and the Europa League. That’s for sure.
“[Liverpool] is an outstanding club and the best manager in the world. For me, itās very, very true that Szoboszlai wants to go to Liverpool, not Newcastle, not Man City.”
Brighton want £100m for Caicedo
Brighton are demanding £100million for Moises Caicedo as Chelsea work on their no1 midfield target.
Manchester United were also interested but are unlikely to pursue a deal given their £60million outlay on Mason Mount.
Chelsea, ironically, want Caicedo to replace Mount and believe Brighton will lower their asking price but a figure of around £80m is still expected.
Arsenal saw a £70m bid rejected for Caicedo in January.
Spurs confirm Udogie plan
Tottenham have made contact with Destiny Udogie over their plans for the defender under Ange Postecoglou.
The young left-back was signed during Antonio Conte’s reign but remained on loan at Udinese until this summer. Conteās sacking and subsequent change of tactical approach under Postecoglou raised questions over Udogieās role.
Udogie has grown into one of the most exciting attack-minded defenders during his time in Italy and the player’s agent has suggested Juventus, AC Milan and Inter would like to take his client on loan.
āUdogieās situation is clear,ā agent Stefano Antonelli told Sky Sport Italia. āHe is a Tottenham player and we had contact over the last few days because they changed management and the coach will play 4-3-3 rather than 3-5-2.”

Chelsea then responded to Jamesā tweet by saying: āOne of our ownā, with a blue heart emoji.
Spurs could sign Tapsoba and Van de Ven

According to Football.London, Bayer Leverkusen want around £35million for their player.
Spurs will turn to Micky van de Ven as a cheaper alternative if they canāt agree a deal for Tapsoba.
But there is a chance Spurs could sign both, while Clement Lenglet remains an option.
Chelsea snubbed by Osimhen
Chelsea have been told Victor Osimhen will snub a move to Stamford Bridge but is open to joining Manchester United.
The Napoli forward has been heavily linked with a huge summer transfer after scoring 31 goals in 39 games last season, winning Serie A and reaching the Champions League quarter-finals in the process.
Chelsea have been linked with Osimhen while United are also reportedly keen having ended their interest in Harry Kane
āHe doesnāt go to Liverpool or Chelsea because they do not play the Champions League,” said former Napoli and Italy midfielder Salvatore Bagni.
“Of all the teams associated with him, for me, he would only go to Manchester United and Real Madrid. Heās not interested in the other teams.”
