The official opening of the summer transfer window is now just days away, but Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham have already begun pursuing huge early signings. Arsenal are working on a club-record £90million deal to sign Declan Rice, though it now seems that West Ham may want to take Emile Smith Rowe in part-exchange.
The Gunners are also holding talks over Joao Cancelo as they push for Manchester City team-mate Ilkay Gundogan, while they are rivalling Chelsea for Moises Caicedo and reportedly pondering a shock raid for Kai Havertz and Elye Wahi after agreeing a new contract with William Saliba. Chelsea are believed to have started negotiations with AC Milan over Mike Maignan, with Inter’s Andre Onana also linked as well as midfielders Gabri Veiga and Federico Valverde.
Tottenham have learned the price for James Maddison and have Sofyan Amrabat in their sights as they aim to keep Harry Kane, with Manchester United losing hope on that front but pushing for Diogo Costa, Kim Min-jae, Axel Disasi, Lautaro Martinez and Rasmus Hojlund. Liverpool make approach to sign Benjamin Pavard
Liverpool are seemingly wasting little time in trying to rebuild for next season.

Elye Wahi wants to join Arsenal this summer.
The 20-year-old forward has been making quite an impact at Montpellier, attracting interest from across Europe after a breakout campaign.
Wahi has been heavily linked with the Gunners in the past, along with the likes of Monaco.
Now Montpellier president Laurent Nicollin has told 100% Paillade that “four or five big clubs” are currently talking to the player’s agent.
However, per Get French Football News, he then added: “We know that he likes Arsenal a lot.”
Man United losing hope over Harry Kane deal
Manchester United appear to be losing hope over signing Harry Kane.
The England captain is Erik ten Hag’s top target as he bids to make a major addition up front this summer.
However, Tottenham do not want to sell their talisman despite him entering the final 12 months of his contract, especially not to a Premier League rival.
Real Madrid have also entered the race for Kane as they seek a like-for-like replacement for Karim Benzema, who has left for Saudi Arabia.
The Times report that United are now increasingly resigned to not getting their man, having received no encouragement at all from Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.

On the other side of the El Clasico rivalry, Barcelona could be signing Joshua Kimmich.
Mundo Deportivo claim that the German midfielder, 28, is ready to force an exit from Bayern Munich, where he has spent eight years and won a glut of major silverware since joining from RB Leipzig in 2015, including the most recent Bundesliga title.
Kimmich is said to be eager for a new challenge in LaLiga, while champions Barcelona need defensive midfield reinforcements with Sergio Busquets bidding an emotional farewell to the Camp Nou after 18 years when his contract expires this summer.

Manchester United takeover latest
Nasser Al-Khelaifi insists he is not involved in Sheikh Jassim’s bid to buy Manchester United.
Reports on Friday had claimed that the PSG president and CEO had played a key role in his fellow Qatari’s bid to take over from the Glazers at Old Trafford.
However, Al-Khelaifi has now denied any involvement.
“Paris Saint-Germain is my club, my heart and nothing to do with Man United,” he told the Associated Press before the Champions League final in Istanbul.
“I’m not working for anyone. I want the best for football. When this guy asked me, I tell him my opinion. So if they ask me my opinion I will answer them for sure and that’s what they do.
“Anyone, not just Man United. I will give them my experience that I have. That’s it.”
