The official opening of the summer transfer window is now just days away, but Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham have already begun pursuing huge early signings. Arsenal are working on a club-record £90million deal to sign Declan Rice, though it now seems that West Ham may want to take Emile Smith Rowe in part-exchange.
The Gunners are also holding talks over Joao Cancelo as they push for Manchester City team-mate Ilkay Gundogan, while they are rivalling Chelsea for Moises Caicedo and reportedly pondering surprise moves for Kai Havertz, Timothy Castagne and Elye Wahi after agreeing a new contract with William Saliba. Chelsea are believed to have started negotiations with AC Milan over Mike Maignan, with Inter’s Andre Onana also linked as well as fomer Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny and midfielders Gabri Veiga and Federico Valverde.
Tottenham are in talks to sign David Raya, have learned the price for James Maddison and have Sofyan Amrabat in their sights as they aim to keep Harry Kane, with Manchester United losing hope on that front but pushing for Mason Mount, Diogo Costa, Kim Min-jae, Axel Disasi, Lautaro Martinez and Rasmus Hojlund. Chelsea stand firm over Mount demands
Chelsea are standing firm over their asking price for Mason Mount.
Manchester United have agreed personal terms with the midfielder and are unwilling to pay more than £60million for the England international.
Chelsea, according to Fabrizio Romano, are demanding £70m to sell.
Kim remains top priority for United
Napoli centre-back Kim Min-jae remains Manchester United’s key defensive target this summer.
According to reports in France, Paris Saint-Germain are also interested – along with Chelsea and Newcastle – in a player who has a release clause worth between £45-50million, which becomes active for two weeks from July 1.
Kim has reportedly agreed personal terms with United.
Koulibaly wanted by Saudis
Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibally is the latest player to be targeted by Saudi Arabia.
According to reports, the centre-back – who has struggled since a big-money move to Chelsea last summer – has been approached by Al Ittihad.
Journalist Rudy Galetti says the Saudi club also want Sergio Ramos, while Juventus have been credited with an interest in Koulibaly.
Meslier open to Chelsea move
Leeds goalkeeper Ilan Meslier is open to joining Chelsea, but only if he is signed to be their first-choice goalkeeper.
Speaking to RMC Sport about the links, Meslier explained: “For now, I have a contract until 2026. Officially, I still belong to Leeds. I will have to think about what could be the best project, be that at Leeds or another club.
“If it is to go and be on the bench, I’m not interested in that. If it’s to be the number one, of course, you can’t say ‘I’m not interested in Chelsea.’ I’d prefer to go to a less reputable club where I’ll have more game time than a top European club where I’d sit on the bench.”
Moyes staying at West Ham
David Moyes is set to stay on as West Ham manager next season following positive talks with the club’s ownership.
Moyes became only the third Hammers boss to deliver major silverware when lifting the Europa Conference League thanks to Wednesday night’s dramatic 2-1 victory over Fiorentina, ending the club’s 43-year trophy drought.
There had been suggestions the 60-year-old could take the opportunity to walk away on a high, having been on the brink of a more acrimonious exit on more than one occasion earlier in the season as the club battled relegation.
Moyes has also been linked with the Celtic job vacated by Ange Postecoglou’s move to Tottenham, having started his career at the Glasgow club.
However, the Scot has held discussions with West Ham chairman David Sullivan since the win over Fiorentina and signalled his intention to continue into the final year of his contract.

Spurs in for Sancho
Well, as that James Maddison update, maybe Jadon Sancho will cheer up Tottenham fans.
Daily Star claim Spurs are considering a £50m bid for the Manchester United winger.
Sancho faces an uncertain future at Old Trafford and, according to the Daily Star, Spurs are monitoring his situation closely.
They claim Tottenham are targeting Sancho as they prepare for a rebuild under new head coach Ange Postecoglou.
United are said to want close to £60m for Sancho.
Spurs dealt Maddison blow
Tottenham have suffered a blow in their bid to sign James Maddison.
Spurs have lined up a £50m move for Maddison but Sky Sports report that Newcastle are currently leading the race to sign the midfielder.
Both clubs are interested in signing Maddison, who has only a year left on his contract.
But Newcastle are able to offer him Champions League football and Spurs are in danger of missing out on one of their targets for new head coach Ange Postecoglou.
Al-Hilal target Neymar after Messi snub
Al-Hilal are exploring a deal to sign Neymar.
CBS Sports report that Neymar is the latest superstar on Saudi Arabia’s radar and are prepared to offer him a “mammoth” wage packet.
Paris Saint-Germain are eager to part ways with the 31-year-old Brazilian so it is likely to be up to him whether he wants to call an end to his top-level career in Europe.
Al-Hilal had hoped to sign Lionel Messi until he decided to sign for MLS club Inter Miami earlier this month.
CBS Sports say a senior delegation from Al-Hilal flew to Paris on Friday, to test the waters around Neymar’s camp and see whether he is amenable to a move to Saudi.
They say personal terms would be comparable to those of Cristiano Ronaldo, whose total package is believed to be around €200million a year.
CBS Sports claim Al-Hilal would be prepared to pay around €45m as a transfer fee but they are yet to open dialogue with PSG.
PSG make contact with Zaha
Paris Saint-Germain have made contact with Wilfred Zaha over a move for the Crystal Palace winger.
Zaha available on a free transfer this summer and PSG sporting director Luis Campos has reportedly been monitoring Zaha for a considerable period.
Le Parisien say PSG see Zaha as a “game-changer”.
Palace have not given up hope of Zaha signing a new contract.
The 30-year-old also has an offer from Saudi Arabia but his priority is to remain at the top level and stay in Europe.
