Transfer news LIVE! Chelsea to sign Ugarte; Gundogan to Arsenal. Man Utd latest gossip
The transfer window does not open for another week but all of Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham are expected to be busy. The Blues are reportedly starting the Mauricio Pochettino era by signing Sporting Lisbon midfielder Manuel Ugarte, though it’s a sadder story for one former Stamford Bridge favourite.
Eden Hazard will leave Real Madrid later this month and that could spell bad news for Spurs. Freeing the forward up on the wage bill may help finance a move for Harry Kane, with Manchester City’s Ilkay Gundogan also said to be under consideration after his FA Cup final heroics.
Elsewhere in the Premier League, Newcastle are said to be ready to rival the Gunners and Spurs for the signing of Hungary forward Dominik Szoboszlai this summer, while Mikel Arteta is also thought to be in Galatasaray defender Sacha Boey.
