Transfer news LIVE! Man United’s Mount bid rejected; Havertz to Arsenal; Chelsea eye Osimhen alternative
The transfer window is now open and all of Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United are likely to be busy. First up on the Red Devils’ agenda is Mason Mount, but a £40million bid has been rejected by Chelsea for the midfielder. The Blues are set to sell multiple stars this summer but want Brighton star Moises Caicedo, amid talks with Villarreal as they eye striker Nicolas Jackson.
Arsenal are close to getting the Declan Rice deal over the line, are will then reportedly turn their focus to a shock move for Kai Havertz, though Chelsea are holding out for £75million. Reports also suggest the Gunners retain an interest in Joao Cancelo of Manchester City.
Manchester United, meanwhile, are strongly linked with Napoli defender Kim min-Jae and could yet enter the Kylian Mbappe race should their takeover be completed. Tottenham are thought to be closing in on a deal for David Raya and continue to track James Maddison, while Real Madrid have confirmed the signing of Jude Bellingham. Man United set to bid again for Mason Mount
Chelsea have rejected an opening £40million bid from Manchester United for Mason Mount, writes Standard Sport’s Nizaar Kinsella.
The Blues value their 24-year-old midfielder at £70m despite him having just one year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge.
United are expected to return with further offers for the England international, who they see as their primary midfield target this summer.

Brentford record Johnson bid rejected
Brentford have had a club-record £30million bid for Nottingham Forest striker Brennan Johnson rejected.
Thomas Frank has long been an admirer of the 22-year-old but has failed in a first approach that falls short of the Midlands club’s valuation.
Forest see Johnson as pivotal to their aims for the coming season, having narrowly avoided relegation this term.
The club retaining their Premier League status has made them able to resist approaches from Brentford. It remains to be seen if the Bees will return with an improved offer.

Spurs keen on Gallagher
Tottenham have joined the race for Conor Gallagher.
According to Football.London, the English midfielder is free to leave Chelsea this summer and Spurs are interested.
Newcastle are also keen, but are currently prioritising James Maddison – another Spurs target. Chelsea are expected to want around £50million for Gallagher.
Another Bellingham on the move
As big brother Jude’s move to Real Madrid has officially been confirmed, the younger Jobe has also founds pastures new.
The 17-year-old has swapped Birmingham for Sunderland – which is recently been boasting weather Jude will soon be enjoying regularly – after many years at his boyhood club.

Arsenal make Havertz bid
More developments on Arsenal’s interest in Kai Havertz.
The Athletic report that the Gunners have made a “proposal” to sign the player following talks with both Chelsea and the player.
We understand that the Gunners will not go near Havertz’s £70m asking price but are open to selling their London rival.
Rice ‘not guaranteed trophies at Arsenal’
Jamie Carragher has warned Declan Rice that joining Arsenal will bring “no guarantee” of major trophies.

Chelsea are set to have talks with Inter Milan over Kalidou Koulibaly’s future.
Fabrizio Romano reports that the clubs will meet soon, as Inter look to bring Koulibaly back to Italy and Chelsea consider their options.
There is plenty for the two sides to discuss, with Romelu Lukaku and Andre Onana also expected to be on the agenda.

Arsenal are interested in Kai Havertz but unwilling to go near Chelsea’s £75million valuation, writes Nizaar Kinsella.
The 24-year-old forward is open to leaving Stamford Bridge and has two years remaining on his current contract, which is among Chelsea’s more expensive at £250,000 a week.
Real Madrid have previously shown an interest in the Germany international but are expected to switch focus to long-time target Kylian Mbappe, who is ready to leave Paris Saint-Germain.
It has left the Gunners as Havertz’s best option but he remains priced out of a move to any club. Bayern Munich have long held an interest in bringing the former Bayer Leverkusen man back to his homeland, but will not pursue a deal this summer.
