Many feel that England missed a golden chance to secure only their third-ever win over the All Blacks on New Zealand soil and first since 2003, with new head coach Scott Robertson beginning his tenure with the narrowest of triumphs in their first match since losing the World Cup final to South Africa in France in the autumn.
No team has beaten the All Blacks at Eden Park now for 30 years, a simply incredible run that stretches back 49 matches.
