Latest news after Uxbridge, Selby and Frome go to the polls in crunch votes
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is braced for a possible triple by-election blow after polls closed in crunch votes at three constituencies.
Voters have been going to the ballot box in Somerton and Frome, Boris Johnsonâs former seat Uxbridge and South Ruislip and Selby and Ainsty, with Mr Sunak admitting that holding the seats will be a âtough battleâ.
Victories for Labour in Uxbridge and South Ruislip as well as Selby and Ainsty, formerly held by his ally Nigel Adams, would be a huge boost for Sir Keir Starmer, while the Liberal Democrats are eyeing another by-election win in Somerton and Frome.
