Camilla visits Charles for third time after enlarged prostate procedure

Queen Camilla has visited the King in hospital for the third time in hospital where he remains after receiving treatment for an enlarged prostate.

Camilla, 76, arrived to visit her husband at The London Clinic in central London just before midday.

Charles, 75, is expected to remain in hospital over the weekend and is said to be “doing well” following his procedure.

The King was diagnosed with the benign condition on 17 January while staying at Birkhall in Scotland, and wanted in part to share the news to encourage other men to get themselves checked.

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said: “His Majesty would like to thank all those who have sent their good wishes over the past week and is delighted to learn that his diagnosis is having a positive impact on public health awareness.”

NHS England said the “enlarged prostate” page on the NHS website received one visit every five seconds on the day the King’s diagnosis was announced, with further huge boosts in visits in the days that followed.

The Queen had previously said her husband is “fine” and looking forward to getting back to work.

The Princess of Wales is also currently being cared for at the same private hospital after receiving abdominal surgery. Kate is in her 12th day at the hospital.
