Heavy snow and ice are on the way for parts of the UK as the Met Office has warned of a week-long cold snap.

A yellow warning of ice is in place for the South East of England from 4am to 10am on Monday, including Maidstone, Royal Tunbridge Wells and North Downs.

The weather conditions are likely to cause travel disruption across the South East on Monday morning, the Met Office said.

It comes as more than 300 flood warnings and alerts are in place across England on Monday morning.
