How did my MP vote on the smoking ban? Full list of MPs who rebelled against Rishi Sunak

MPs have voted in favour of Rishi Sunak’s proposal to ban young people from ever being able to legally smoke tobacco in its first hurdle in the House of Commons despite opposition from his own ministers.

The proposed law, which divided Tory MPs, will make it illegal to sell tobacco products to anyone born after January 1 2009.

It was passed by 383 to 67 in its second reading on Tuesday evening, a comfortable majority for the Government.

According to the division list, a total of 57 Conservative MPs are among those who voted against giving the Tobacco and Vapes Bill a second reading.

You can find out who your local MP is by searching your postcode on the official Parliament website, and check how they voted below in the list below. If your MP is not on the list, it means that they did not vote.

There are a number of reasons why an MP may not vote in the Commons ranging from illness, being away on a Parliamentary visit or being paired with a member of another party who could not attend.

Some MPs may also abstain because they do not agree with the party position, but do not want to defy the party whip.

Here are all the MPs who supported and opposed the smoking ban:
