1,500 Hamas bodies claimed found and border sealed after 200 strikes in Gaza

Israel has said it has retaken control of the Gaza border fence that was breached by Hamas gunmen after hitting 200 targets overnight.

Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari told Israel’s Army Radio that there have been no new infiltrations since Monday after Hamas militants breached the barrier and flooded into Israel, where more than 100 civilians were taken hostage.

Concern is growing for those hostages taken by militants during the surprise attack, including women, young children and elderly relatives.

As Israel pummels Gaza, Hamas warned that it will kill one of the 130 hostages every time the Israeli military bombs civilian targets without warning and broadcast them in “audio and video”.
