Kim tells Putin we will join you in ‘sacred fight’ against the West

Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un have begun talks at a space base as Russia offers North Korea help to build satellites.

The two leaders shook hands outside the Vostochny cosmodrome in Russia’s far east where it is feared they will finalise an arms deal where Pyongyang supplies ammunition to Moscow for its invasion of Ukraine.

Mr Kim said Mr Putin was fighting a “sacred” war with the West and that the two countries would together battle with “imperialism”.

The leaders met just hours after North Korea fired two ballistic missiles towards the sea.
