King Charles portrait turned into Wallace and Gromit character by animal activists

A new portrait of King Charles has been vandalised by protesters who covered the painting with a large Wallace and Gromit sticker.

A video circulating on X, formerly Twitter, reportedly showed two members of the campaign group Animal Rising, covering the monarch’s face with that of Wallace from the British animated comedy franchise.

The portrait painted by Jonathan Yeo was unveiled at Buckingham Palace in May and is now on display at the Philip Mould Gallery in London.

This is a breaking news story and is being updated.
