King Charles leaves hospital after prostate procedure
The King has left hospital after undergoing a procedure for an enlarged prostate.
Charles, 75, was admitted to The London Clinic, central London, on Friday after Buckingham Palace previously announced he had been diagnosed with benign the condition on 17 January.
He was visited by his wife, the Queen, just under an hour before he was seen departing the premises after his four-day stay at the clinic.
During his time in hospital, he underwent a corrective procedure and it has been reported he could take up to a month off from public duties as he recuperates.
Charles left the London Clinic a few hours after the Princess of Wales was discharged from the same hospital, almost two weeks after undergoing abdominal surgery.
Buckingham Palace said in a statement: “The King was this afternoon discharged from hospital following planned medical treatment and has rescheduled forthcoming public engagements to allow for a period of private recuperation.
“His Majesty would like to thank the medical team and all those involved in supporting his hospital visit, and is grateful for all the kind messages he has received in recent days.”
