Labour vote share drops as party faces fresh row over Israel remarks, poll shows
Labour is attempting to limit the damage of the latest antisemitism row in the party just 24 hours before voting begins in two crucial by-elections.
Graham Jones, the former Labour MP for Hyndburn who is seeking re-election in the seat, is understood to have been administratively suspended from the party pending an investigation after audio emerged of him using the words āf****** Israelā during a meeting.
It comes after Rochdale candidate Azhar Ali was suspended after it was alleged he made antisemitic remarks about Israelās involvement in Hamasā attacks on October 7.
A new poll from Savanta published today suggests that Labourās lead over the Conservatives has dropped by seven points over the last two weeks.
