Politics live as Labour vows to oppose Rwanda bill in Lords showdown
MPs overturned all 10 House of Lords amendments to the Rwanda bill on Monday night, meaning the controversial legislation will now be sent back to the upper chamber.
The Lords amendments included measures to ensure that the bill, which would mean asylum seekers arriving in Britain by small boats sent to the African nation, is compliant with the rule of law.
Now the legislation will return to the House of Lords on Wednesday, setting up a fresh showdown between Lords and MPs.
