Kate announces cancer diagnosis as world leaders send support

Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, is undergoing treatment for cancer, Buckingham Palace announced on Friday.

The announcement followed months of speculation about Kate’s health following the news that she underwent abdominal surgery at the London Clinic in January, while it was revealed this week that three staff members at the hospital tried to access her personal records while she was a patient.

The Princess of Wales was not seen for some time after the procedure until recently, when an edited picture was put out and then a video surfaced, sparking wide-ranging conspiracy theories.

It adds to a turbulent 2024 so far for the Royal Family, as the King continues to stay away from public-facing duties as he received outpatient treatment for the cancer he was diagnosed with in February.
