6 Britons have died and 10 are missing after Hamas attacks, Rishi Sunak confirms
Six Britons were killed by Hamas’ terrorist attacks in Israel and a further 10 are missing, Rishi Sunak has revealed.
A number of Britons are also feared to have been taken hostage by the militant group and are being held in Gaza. The Prime Minister called for the “immediate release” of all hostages.
He told the Commons: “The terrible nature of these attacks means it is proving difficult to identify many of the deceased but with a heavy heart, I can inform the House that at least six British citizens were killed a further 10 are missing, some of whom are feared to be among the dead.”
Mr Sunak expressed his horror at the way Hamas had targeted civilians in Israel, including babies, children and the elderly, adding: “We should call it by its name: a pogrom.”
