Serving Met Police officer charged with rape

A serving Metropolitan Police officer has been charged with rape in connection with a 2019 incident while he was off duty.

Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, Callum Utley, 24, was charged with one count of rape of a woman in Buckinghamshire.

He is due to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on 25 May, the force said.

PC Utley, who works in the Met’s West Area Command Unit, is suspended from duty and the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed, a Met statement said.
