All the Tory MPs standing down at the next election and the majorities they hold
Nearly 80 Conservative MPs have announced they will step down ahead of the General Election, a post-war record.
The total current Tory MPs not seeking re-election on July 4 hit 74 on Friday, surpassing the previous record of 72 who quit prior to Sir Tony Blairβs 1997 landslide win for Labour.
Former ministers Sir David Evennett, Greg Clark and Sir John Redwood and Craig Mackinlay, who returned to the House of Commons this week after his sepsis ordeal, were among the latest to confirm they are not running.
Former Prime Minister Theresa May who gave her departing speech in the Commons on Thursday announced she would also stand down from herMaidenhead constituency which she has represented for 27 years.
Other high-profile MPs such as Nadhim Zahawi, who has served as chancellor, education secretary and chairman of the Conservative Party, announced he would step down at the start of May.

Other MPs have said they are not seeking re-election in their current constituency but may be seeking re-election in a different seat, and as such have yet to indicate if they are retiring from Parliament for good.
Changes to constituency boundaries that will come into effect at the next election mean some seats will be abolished altogether.
Labour has said the large number of departures shows there is βno confidenceβ in Rishi Sunak, while Conservative minister Gareth Davies said it was βreasonableβ for people to stand down and βthis is what happens when you approach a new electionβ.
