Tory hopes of tax cuts grow ahead of Autumn Statement
Hopes are growing that Chancellor Jeremy Hunt will unveil tax cuts in Wednesday’s Autumn Statement that will also see welfare reforms aimed at pushing benefits claimants back into the workplace.
Rishi Sunak has promised tax cuts to boost economic growth and “reward hard work” ahead of the autumn statement.
Chief secretary to the Treasury Laura Trott said this morning that the Government “can now talk about tax cuts” after turning a corner on the economy.
