The iPhone 15, yes 15, will come out this month. There will be some obvious tweaks, including enhancements to the camera. Here is a brief guide to what we know.

When does the iPhone 15 come out?

The iPhone 15 series is expected to be launched on Tuesday at 10am PST (6pm BST). According to Business Insider, the release date could be ā€œaroundā€ 22 September.

What can we expect?

Business Insider says ā€œwith a more durable, titanium design with thinner bezels, the starting price for the iPhone 15 Pro is expected to increase by $100 (Ā£80) to $1,099 (Ā£880).

It added that the iPhone 15 Pro Max ā€œcould go up as much as $200 (Ā£160) in price, with a projected starting price of $1,199 (Ā£960) or $1,299 (Ā£1040).

What else is changing?

The entire iPhone 15 series is expected to receive a 48-megapixel main camera.

According to Bloomberg, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to have new ultrawide and zoom lenses. They are also likely to have more megapixels than the current 12-megapixel versions on the iPhone 14 Pro series.

There is good news for those who suffer battery drain: the iPhone15 is expected to have a 15 per cent boost to its battery capacity.

The iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to have 12 per cent, 12 per cent, and 11 per cent increases in battery capacity, respectively.

However, the display is not expected to be radically different from the iPhone 14, with the same display sizes as the 14 series.

Meanwhile, the iPhoneā€™s ring/silent switch is rumoured to be replaced by a programmable ā€œactionā€ button on the iPhone 15 Pro models, according to Bloomberg.
