Who left The Traitors? What happened last night and full cast list remaining

The Traitors is back for its second series after last night’s episode saw three more contestants eliminated from the Scottish castle.

Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the BBC reality TV show sees 22 strangers battling it out to win a jackpot of £120,000 – the final amount dependent on the success of various “missions”.

Initially, three of the contestants are secretly selected by Winkleman to become the Traitors, while the rest are named Faithfuls.

The selected Traitors are then tasked with remaining undetected as they undergo a series of missions without being rumbled as they attempt to pick off the Faithfuls.

Meanwhile, the Faithfuls, must work to uncover the identity of the traitors and expel them from the game before they fall victim.

During a roundtable session, the contestants must then put forward their pitch for who should be banished from the castle – and the competition.

In addition, contestants must participate in a series of physical and mental challenges to win advantages and top up the prize money pot.

Speaking of the new series, Winkleman said: “The missions this year are epic. The producers are so clever as the missions are incredibly important as it is a chance for the contestants to switch off from strategising and plotting. They get fresh air, they run around, they work as a team. The scale this year is beyond.”

What happened in The Traitors last night?

As the series entered its half-way point, tensions between the contestants escalated, as three contestants were eliminated from the competition.

The surviving Traitors—Paul, Harry, and Miles—received a clandestine assignment from the show’s host. Their mission involved selecting a player to eliminate by presenting them with a poisoned chalice. The trio discreetly convened outdoors to decide on their target, with Miles discreetly passing the deadly chalice to Diane just as the credits started rolling.

With six votes, Anthony was banished by his fellow contestants — who were shocked to find out he was a Faithful.

Contestant Harry said: “They’re getting out the strong people. Anthony was a strong Faithful, he was a good Faithful. I’m just sat there like, ‘None of you have a scooby what’s going on behind the scenes’. We’ve literally got them in the palm of our hands.”

Tracey became the latest to join the list of departures, having fallen victim to the Traitors overnight. The Traitors were strategic in ensuring that her demise wouldn’t trace back to any of them.

Suspicion loomed large after the recent murder, with Anthony, Andrew, Zack, and Ross coming under intense scrutiny. At the roundtable, Ross faced accusations from Charlie, who deemed him a Traitor for sowing discord within the group. Zack and Andrew also found themselves in the hot seat, answering probing questions.

The participants successfully completed their inaugural night-time mission, however, which involved a spooky graveyard treasure hunt for gold.

Despite numerous early eliminations, the group managed to boost the prize pot by £7,250, and Jasmine secured a valuable shield. As the episode ended with a shocking cliffhanger, the lingering question remains: have the Traitors claimed their next victim, or will they be exposed?
