Is Community Fibre down? Customers report internet and blackout issues

Community Fibre internet has gone down, leaving thousands of customers unable to connect to the internet.

The problem appears to have started early in the morning, with more than 1,300 people logging complaints with online outage tracker Down Detector.

As of 8.30am Community Fibre had yet to respond to the outage, so the cause is unknown, though some customers have reported their service returning. i has contacted Community Fibre for comment.

Customers complained on social media that they had been unable to get in contact with Community Fibre’s help teams. Rachel Pain said on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Clearly there is an outage but would be nice if Community Fibre provided an update or even a statement to confirm the outage and a bit of info… please?”

Kamran Shahid added: “My internet is not working since morning and your customer service number isn’t working either. Is there an outage? I have work calls this morning and I need this fixed ASAP.”

Community Fibre operates in London and some nearby counties and claims to be London’s fastest-growing full-fibre provider, aiming to serve more than 2.2 million homes in the capital by the end of 2024.

It has largely positive feedback, with the highest number of top-rated reviews on Trustpilot for a broadband provider as of August 2023.
