Latest as Prince William to carry out first engagement since Charles’ cancer diagnosis

Prince William will carry out his first public engagement since his wife Kate, Princess of Wales’, operation and King Charles’ cancer diagnosis.

William will attend the gala dinner for London’s Air Ambulance Charity in his role as the organisation’s patron after Kate left hospital last Monday.

The Princess has since returned to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor to be reunited with her children after undergoing planned abdominal surgery.

Meanwhile, the King received treatment for an enlarged prostate and was diagnosed with a different form of cancer on Monday.

King Charles and Queen Camilla then arrived at the royal estate in Sandringham by helicopter after a meeting with Prince Harry, who flew to the UK from LA early Tuesday.

While Charles will continue to undertake state business and official paperwork, Buckingham Palace has said he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties for an undisclosed period of time.

Experts have said Prince William is expected to take on more Royal duties as heir to the throne, following the King’s cancer diagnosis.
