When is the Conservative Party conference 2023? Dates, agenda, speeches and how to watch Tory conference live

The 2023 Conservative Party conference begins on Sunday, as Rishi Sunak prepares to fire the starting gun on a long general election campaign.

Mr Sunak is battling to reverse Labourā€™s double-digit lead in the polls ahead of an election likely to take place next year but has been frustrated by a number of recent policy leaks, from scaling back net zero commitments and theĀ HS2Ā high-speed rail line, and plans to scrap A-levels and cut inheritance tax.

The Prime Minister will speak on the final day of the conference, The annual rally will also feature keynote addresses from most senior Tories, including Chancellor Jeremy Hunt, Home Secretary Suella Braverman and Penny Mordaunt, Leader of the House of Commons.

When is the Conservative Party conference?

The Conservative Party conference starts on Sunday 1 October and will wrap up on Wednesday 4 October. It is being held at the International Convention Centre on Broad Street in Birmingham.

Some speeches will be streamed live on the Conservativesā€™ YouTube channel, and also uploaded after the event.

If you are a paid-up member of the party it is also possible to attend conference in person. Your membership must be valid for at least three months at the time of your Conservative Party conference pass registration.
