Rishi Sunak is under pressure to sack Suella Braverman over her article attacking the Metropolitan Police’s handling of protests.

Multiple ministers have called for the Home Secretary to be removed as a row over the Met’s policing of pro-Palestinian protests intensified.

Ms Braverman has been accused by ex-police officers of emboldening the far-right after accusing police of “playing favourites” by allowing rallies over Gaza, which she has branded “hate marches”, while handling other demonstrations less robustly.
